The Fundraisers present their Autumn promotion at the White Rose Centre, Rhyl.

Events include a collection, the Autumn lifeboat lottery, souvenirs, Christmas cards, calendars, diaries and gifts.

Headquarters open days

For general information and interest the following has been announced!

The RNLI opens its Headquarters and the Lifeboat College to the public on 5–6 September. The open days will include exciting displays, demonstrations and tours, and lots of activities for children.

RNLI Exhibitions Manager Linda Vatcher says: ‘The open days are a great opportunity for anyone to come along and find out all about the RNLI – what it does, how it works and how it uses the generous public donations it receives.

‘People really enjoy seeing at first hand everything that the RNLI does. The sea survival demonstration, the lifeboat tour and the rescue demonstration always prove extremely popular. It's great to see children's faces really light up when they see our lifeboats up close for the first time.

‘Our lifeboat crews and lifeguards will be there to talk about their training and lifesaving roles. We'll be putting on lifeboat demonstrations, sea survival pool demonstrations, lifeboat tours, lifeguard displays, plus displays covering all aspects of the RNLI, so we hope there will be something for everyone.

‘Many people have seen RNLI lifeboats and RNLI lifeguards around the coastline, and now we're offering them the chance to see for themselves what goes on behind the scenes. Anyone who is curious about what we do should save the date now and come along and see us next September – hopefully it will make a great end to the Summer holidays for many families.'
